# Smart Bands

[Smart Bands](/main-toolkits/market-waves-pro-tm/trend-signals.md#smart-bands) extend volatility analysis by plotting adaptive bands around price. Within the screener, they’re distilled into a simple but powerful column: whether a bullish or bearish retest has occurred. This reduces noise and clarifies if price has validated the edge.
